Ireland West Duathlon Series postponed

Due to the uncertainties caused by the pandemic and the implications for us as organisers to run a safe event, we have taken the decision to postpone the series over the winter months.

We would like to thank all our supporters, sponsors and most of all the participants.

Stay tuned for some very exciting news about new events for the West of Ireland.

Saturday April 17th @ 10 am | Start/Finish Westport

650 km of cycling on the most beautiful roads in Ireland. Add some spectacular climbs and this event will test every ounce of your being! The challenge is to complete a lap of County Mayo! Can you do it under 24 hours?

Event 1

Skelp blast

Friday September 17th @ 7 pm | Start/Finish Westport

The Skelp Blast is an off road 26.5K timed challenge up over the Skelp pass and around a fabulous course at the back of Croagh Patrick. The route terrain varies suiting all off-road and gravel bikes.

Event 2

Wild Nephin

Saturday September 18th @ 10 am | Start/Finish Westport

A timed 100 K event starting at the Westport Quay via the Great Western Greenway to Funace lake in Newport toward the Bangor trail and then home. It is challenging, remote, off-road with amazing scenery. The route suits all off-road and gravel bikes.

The Bothy

Saturday September 18th @ 10.15 am | Start/Finish Westport

If you are new to gravel or just want something a bit shorter than the Wild Nephin then why not try THE BOTHY?, a timed event with most of the thrills and spills of the Wild Nephin but covered in 60k. The route suits all off-road and gravel bikes.
